Thom Browne Virtual Showroom
During the pandemic, all in-person fashion tours and shows were canceled. Confined to digital presentations, fashion brands faced a growing demand for connectivity from their audiences. However, the true appeal of fashion could not be conveyed solely through static images.
For his Fall 2021 collection, Thom Browne tapped into Team for a new way to communicate the quality of the designs and engage his audience without a physical setting where guests could touch and feel the fabric of the garments.
To simulate an editor’s experience in a showroom visit, we built an immersive virtual tour of the Thom Browne Fall collection. The design took inspiration from the alpine theme of Thom’s collections, which featured a black-and-white fashion film with gold-medalist skier Lindsey Vonn. The graceful curves of a slalom skier and the image of swirling snowfall inspired the 360-tour of the digital presentation, allowing viewers to inspect every detail of the garments as 3D-scanned images of each look pirouette through the site.
The designs established a clear editorial narrative for members of the press and consumers alike. From the intimate view of the materiality of the garments to the starkness of the showroom space, the experience is a pure expression of Thom’s creative vision.
